Rockwell Automation has announced its Singapore manufacturing facility has been named to the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network, recognising the site for applying advanced technologies at scale to deliver measurable gains in productivity, quality and workforce enablement.
More than 50 AI and digital solutions deployed
The Singapore facility received distinction in the productivity category, reflecting its transformation into a flexible, data-driven operation. Rockwell deployed more than 50 digital and AI-enabled solutions across the site — including intelligent automation, AI-driven quality control and predictive maintenance — resulting in improved output efficiency, reduced defects and faster workforce onboarding.
“This recognition reflects how Rockwell is applying advanced automation technologies not just within a single site, but in ways that can scale across our global operations and for our customers. We are focused on turning data into decisions and AI into outcomes — helping manufacturers build Factories of the Future that are more resilient, adaptive and productive,” said Bob Buttermore, SVP and Chief Supply Chain Officer at Rockwell Automation.
AI embedding into core manufacturing operations
The World Economic Forum noted that the latest cohort of Lighthouse sites demonstrates how AI is becoming embedded into core operations, enabling organisations to improve decision-making, accelerate innovation and continuously optimise performance. WEF Managing Director Kiva Allgood said leading manufacturers are no longer optimising individual processes but reimagining entire operating systems — with intelligence woven into the fabric of operations to respond faster and unlock new performance levels across value chains.
Singapore site connects Rockwell to global manufacturing network
Rockwell’s inclusion in the Global Lighthouse Network connects the company to a community of manufacturers advancing industrial transformation. Through the network, Rockwell will share best practices and collaborate with other Lighthouse members to accelerate adoption of advanced technologies across industries and regions.
The designation reinforces Rockwell’s broader push to help manufacturers move beyond pilot programmes toward scaled transformation — linking data, automation and AI to deliver business outcomes across global operations. Singapore joins a growing list of APAC facilities recognised by the WEF for advanced manufacturing capabilities.
