Uber - Asia Pacific Regional Hub

Now before you get all psyched up, it’s not what you think. Uber is not going to restart its ride-sharing business

Instead, Uber is making Singapore home to its Asia Pacific Regional Hub at the Fraser Tower in Tanjong Pagar. The Hub, which was officially opened yesterday, is Uber’s multi-million dollar investment to support its operations across 102 cities in nine Asia Pacific countries – Australia, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

To feed its ever-growing business operations, Uber is looking to employ more than 165 employees.

Working in the Hub will be a dream for most millennials as its unconventional office layout, and design continues to evoke a start-up look and feel, though it’s grown past that stage of the business. Uber also nicely themed its meeting rooms and its cafe – Cafe Amoy – to match the names of places in Singapore.
