Honor has unveiled Honor Play, their latest smartphone that could revolutionise mobile gaming, today.
Priced at S$429, Honor Play seeks to resolve the most common issues that mobile gamers face such as space and capacity problems, thermal efficiency and battery efficiency.
To address these issues, Honor uses their new graphics processing technology, GPU Turbo to increase graphics and computing efficiency of Honor Play to handle graphically demanding mobile games. The smartphone is capable of boosting its average frame rate up to 39.46 on PUBG MOBILE, Honor’s global strategic partner.
According to Honor, “their innovative hardware-software integrated solution also reduces jitter rate down to 0.21 per cent and has a 30-minute lead in battery life as compared to other flagship smartphones with 4.5 hours of gameplay.”
President of Honor, George Zhao said:
“The Honor Play is a new moment for the global gaming industry. Honor will be the first to offer a phenomenally fun mobile gaming and entertainment experience, paving the future for mobile gaming worldwide.”
The Honor Play also provides a 4D gaming experience, which is a combination of 3D audio effects and AI vibration that reacts up to 30 scenarios customised for popular mobile games.

The 6.3-inch smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB). It is powered by Kirin 970 NPU chipset that complements the EMUI 8.2 to which Honor says that “it unleashes a truly AI-mazing processing power.”
To live up to its name of a 24/7 “Always On” entertainment experience, the Honor Play is packed with a 3,750 mAh battery that could last up to 15 hours of video streaming and 95 hours of music playback.
In the camera department, the Honor Play has a 16MP front-facing camera with AI motion detection and intelligent recognition, and a dual-rear camera of a 16MP lens and a 2MP lens (depth sensor).
The Honor Play will be on sale starting 7 August at selected retail stores and all official online partners like Qoo10, Shopee and Lazada.
Pre-order is now available through the exclusive distributor Raduga Pte Ltd in Singapore on Qoo10 until August 6.
