Seagate’s New Desktop Drives Drop the Power Brick

Seagate has announced two new consumer desktop hard drives — the One Touch and FireCuda X Vault — both featuring what the company describes as the industry’s first bus-powered USB-C design for desktop hard drives, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter.

One Touch: Everyday Storage Up to 24TB

The Seagate One Touch desktop drive offers up to 24TB of capacity, designed for users who want reliable local storage for photos, videos, backups, and work files without dependence on cloud subscriptions. The single USB-C cable handles both data and power, reducing desktop clutter.

FireCuda X Vault: Built for Gamers and Creators

The FireCuda X Vault is aimed at gaming and streaming setups, offering up to 20TB to expand storage alongside internal performance drives. It is designed to keep large game libraries, captured gameplay footage, and archived content readily accessible without slowing down primary drives.

Bundled Software and Recovery Services

Both drives include Seagate Toolkit for automated backups, alongside Rescue Data Recovery Services for added reassurance on valuable files and long-term digital collections.

The Seagate One Touch is available now in Singapore. The Seagate One Touch 8TB can be purchased online through Seagate’s official Shopee and Lazada stores, as well as at Challenger and Seagate authorized distributors, at an MSRP of $395, inclusive of GST. Pricing for other capacities will be announced later once available in the market.

The FireCuda X Vault will be available in Singapore from May onwards via Seagate’s official Shopee and Lazada stores.
