The Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and Recorded Future, the world’s largest threat intelligence company, have entered into a landmark Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC) aimed at bolstering Singapore’s cyber defenses against emerging threats. Signed during the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW), the agreement establishes a new framework for cooperation between the two entities, focusing on enhancing analytical, organizational, and technical capabilities to counter rapidly evolving cyber risks.
The MOC was signed by Recorded Future’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Jonathan Luff, and CSA’s Assistant Chief Executive (National Cyber Resilience), Mr. Dan Yock Hau, with both organizations’ Chief Executives, Mr. Christopher Ahlberg and Mr. David Koh, witnessing the event.
A United Effort Against Emerging Cyber Threats
The agreement comes at a time when cyber threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, necessitating stronger partnerships between public agencies and private threat intelligence firms. By leveraging Recorded Future’s expertise, CSA aims to enhance its threat intelligence capabilities, ensuring it stays ahead of cybercriminals.
“As cyber threats evolve quickly, it is important for CSA to leverage new technologies to enhance our threat intelligence capabilities to stay one step ahead of threat actors,” said Mr. Dan Yock Hau, CSA’s Assistant Chief Executive (National Cyber Resilience). He also noted that the partnership would provide opportunities for joint research and collaboration within the ASEAN region to improve cybersecurity defenses across Southeast Asia.

The collaboration between CSA and Recorded Future will focus on knowledge exchange, joint research, and the development of innovative solutions to combat various cyber threats, including scams and mobile security risks. These efforts are aimed at strengthening Singapore’s cybersecurity posture while promoting security across the broader ASEAN region.
Jonathan Luff, Chief of Staff at Recorded Future, highlighted the importance of this partnership: “As the world’s leading threat intelligence company, Recorded Future is proud to support the work of CSA to enhance Singapore’s national cyber defense capabilities, promoting national and regional security. The MOC will facilitate the exchange of cybersecurity knowledge and insights, potential collaboration on joint research reports, and the development of new technological solutions to combat cyber threats. The partnership will facilitate enhanced cybersecurity collaboration across the ASEAN region on topics of cybersecurity, such as scams and mobile security threats. This is an exciting moment for our partnership, and we look forward to working ever more closely with the outstanding CSA team.”
