Fortinet, a global leader in cybersecurity, has entered into a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) to enhance cybersecurity measures and threat intelligence sharing across the nation. The MoC was signed at the Operational Technology Cybersecurity Expert Panel (OTCEP) Forum 2024, underscoring the strategic importance of this partnership in safeguarding Singapore’s digital landscape.
The MoC outlines several critical areas where Fortinet and CSA will collaborate to bolster Singapore’s cybersecurity posture:
Cyber Threat Intelligence Sharing: Fortinet will proactively share crucial threat intelligence with CSA, including early warnings on new vulnerabilities and emerging cyber threats. This intelligence-sharing initiative aims to enable CSA to respond swiftly and effectively to potential threats, thereby enhancing the nation’s overall cybersecurity resilience.
Detection Engineering and Threat Hunting: The collaboration will focus on enhancing Singapore’s detection engineering and threat hunting capabilities. This partnership aims to improve the nation’s ability to detect, analyze, and respond to sophisticated cyber threats, ensuring robust protection for critical information infrastructure.
Threat Landscape Insights: Fortinet will provide CSA with aggregated statistical data and insights into the evolving cybersecurity landscape. This information will empower CSA to take necessary actions and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen Singapore’s cyber defenses.
This partnership between Fortinet and CSA reflects a mutual commitment to protect Singapore’s cyberspace through collaborative efforts and shared expertise. As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, the need for strong industry partnerships has never been more critical.

Mr. Dan Yock Hau, Assistant Chief Executive (National Cyber Resilience) of CSA, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “With cyber threats evolving and growing at a rapid pace, it is imperative that we stay ahead by building capabilities and by gathering and sharing valuable threat intelligence. To do this, we need to work with a multitude of strong industry partners such as Fortinet, so that we can collectively enhance Singapore’s ability to deal with cyber threats.”
Vishak Raman, Vice President of Sales for India, SAARC, SEA, and ANZ at Fortinet, highlighted the challenges faced by Singapore in the current cyber threat landscape. “Singapore continues to face a significant number of cyber-attacks targeting critical infrastructure, financial sectors, and personal data of citizens. Cybercriminals are increasingly sophisticated, using tactics such as generative AI to enhance their success rate. In this evolving threat landscape, our collaboration with CSA is crucial. By exploring opportunities for sharing threat intelligence and enhancing our detection and response capabilities, we aim to fortify Singapore’s defences and enhance Singapore’s cybersecurity capabilities.”
