Samsung Electronics has launched a new mid-range smartphone called the Galaxy A8 Star. Similar to the Galaxy A8 unveiled in January this year, the Galaxy A8 Star is also targetting at our social media savvy millennials, with some new touches and tweaks.

The new Galaxy A8 Star comes equipped with a 16MP and 24MP Dual rear cameras with an aperture of f1.7.

Unlike the Galaxy A8, the new addition to Samsung’s A-series does not have a dual front-facing camera. Instead, it has a 24MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f2.0, which can intelligently adapt to lighting conditions for an excellent selfie shot.

Also, the Galaxy A8 Star is no pushover when it comes to the display. It has a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, which phablet-lovers will love.

Setting it distinctively apart from the other smartphones that Samsung has right now is Galaxy A8 Star’s 3,700mAh battery and its superior expandable storage of up to 400GB.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star will be available in Black and White starting 7 July 2018 at the retail price of S$748, inclusive of GST.

It will be available at all the local telcos, selected consumer electronic stores, authorised mobile retailers, Samsung Experience Stores and selected online marketplaces.
