PLDT, the Philippines’ leading digital services provider, has won a Silver Award at the 2026 UiPath AI Breakthrough Awards for in-house AI agents that it says save tens of thousands of hours of manual work a year.
The agents were built with UiPath Agent Builder, Integration Service and Robots, and are used across enterprise sales, risk management and lead generation.
Ellie cuts proposal time for sales teams
Ellie, short for Enablement and Intelligence Engine, pulls together enterprise knowledge and live CRM data to produce customer-ready proposals and presentations. PLDT estimates it has reclaimed 18,000 to 25,000 hours a year.
Sales teams report a 40 to 60 per cent drop in time spent on standard proposal and presentation materials, and a 40 to 50 per cent drop in proposal errors. PLDT also observed a 20 to 50 per cent increase in upsell rates. Ellie flags churn risks as well, such as declining product use or delayed payments.
KAI and ERICA target research and risk work
KAI (Knowledge, Automation, Intelligence) cuts knowledge retrieval from up to five days of manual research to one to three seconds, using only approved sources. PLDT estimates it removes 25,000 to 30,000 hours of manual effort a year, equal to about 12 full-time staff.
ERICA (Enterprise Risk Intelligence Companion Agent) automates structured risk statements and scoring against compliance standards. PLDT says it has reduced manual effort by 97 to 99 per cent, shortening risk assessments from two to 10 days to between five minutes and one day.
Gilbert Gaw, First Vice President and Head of IT and Transformation Office at PLDT and Smart, said the recognition drives the teams to “keep pushing the boundaries of what agentic AI can achieve.”
