Solar manufacturer TCL SunPower has completed a cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) rollout across seven entities in five countries in around four months, using SAP‘s GROW methodology to unify finance, supply chain and compliance operations spanning Singapore, the Philippines, Japan and Australia.

The announcement was made at SAP NOW AI Tour Southeast Asia 2026 in Singapore, where SAP said TCL SunPower needed an independent digital foundation for seven overseas entities brought into the group through a recent acquisition. The company’s international footprint includes manufacturing operations in the Philippines, sales operations in Singapore and Japan, and a regional sales hub in Australia.

Standardising finance and supply chain across five markets

Working with implementation partner TCL Gtrontec, TCL SunPower adopted a “fit-to-standard” approach to reduce customisation and speed up deployment. Since going live in February 2026, the company has recorded measurable gains across finance and operations:

• Financial close accelerated by three days or more
• Inventory accuracy improved by 10 to 15 per cent
• Five peripheral finance systems consolidated into a single integrated environment
• Stronger supply chain visibility and end-to-end serial-number traceability for its solar products

“Agility and scalability were central to this transformation. We needed to complete the transition in just four months while creating a stronger operating foundation for our overseas business,” said Eric Wang, Overseas Digitization Head, TCL SunPower.

TCL SunPower has also become the first entity within TCL Group to activate SAP Joule, a conversational AI co-pilot that staff now use to pull real-time data on inventory, orders and financial performance. The company said it is exploring further AI use cases, including Joule Agents for finance reconciliation, anomaly detection and procurement exception handling.

A regional template for future rollouts

SAP said the platform now serves as a single source of truth for material masters and bills of materials across TCL SunPower’s manufacturing and warehouse systems, reducing manual data mapping and creating a standardised template that could support future multi-country rollouts.

“With SAP GROW, TCL SunPower has established a scalable digital core that improves visibility and control today, while preparing the business for future innovation with AI and data-driven decision-making,” said Eileen Chua, Managing Director, SAP Singapore.

The rollout also strengthened TCL SunPower’s ability to meet local compliance requirements, including regulatory reporting and e-invoicing rules in selected markets, while bringing its overseas entities under stronger group-level financial governance.
