ASUS Republic of Gamers has announced the ROG Gjallar, a compact gaming soundbar combining 2.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound with a built-in microphone hub, aimed at streamlining multi-device gaming setups.
The system pairs full-range speakers, tweeters and up-firing channels with a 6.5-inch, 65-watt wireless subwoofer connected over 5GHz for low-latency bass. An all-in-one control hub handles EQ, playback and RGB lighting, and houses built-in Acoustic Echo Cancellation microphones enhanced by an AI beamforming algorithm designed to filter out background noise such as PC fans.
Connectivity
The Gjallar connects via USB-C, HDMI 2.1 with eARC, optical, AUX and Bluetooth 5.3, supporting 4K@120Hz pass-through across PC, Mac, mobile devices, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. A companion web tool and mobile app, Gear Link, allow further customisation of EQ and lighting profiles.
Availability
The ROG Gjallar is scheduled to reach stores islandwide from mid-Q3 2026. Pricing has not yet been disclosed.
