UST has announced a strategic alliance with Anthropic, the AI safety and research company behind Claude, that will see the model embedded across UST’s engineering platforms, industry solutions and internal operations. As part of the deal, UST has committed to training and certifying 20,000 employees globally on Claude.
The alliance is aimed at helping Global 1000 enterprises move beyond isolated AI pilots and operationalise trusted AI at scale, spanning engineering environments, industry-specific platforms and day-to-day operational workflows.
Claude for physical AI and engineering
UST is integrating Claude into engineering platforms used by semiconductor, automotive, manufacturing, telecom and IoT companies for design verification and factory operations. Its UST-iDEC platform, which already cuts hardware and silicon validation cycle times by 50 to 70 per cent, will use Claude as a reasoning layer to read chip schematics, write regression test scripts and flag firmware or signal-integrity faults.
Industry platforms across healthcare, telecom and banking
The partnership extends to three named industry platforms. UST CarePath will use Claude to streamline healthcare claims and member services workflows. UST IntelliOps will bring Claude into telecom network operations to help predict failures and reduce outage duration. UST FinX will apply Claude to help mid-tier banks modernise legacy core systems, accelerating onboarding and compliance document processing.
20,000 employees to be certified on Claude
UST plans to certify 20,000 associates worldwide on Claude, spanning architects, engineers, consultants and forward-deployed engineers, backed by enablement and technical guidance from Anthropic. The alliance also strengthens UST’s status as a Global Premier Partner in the Claude Partner Network Services Tier.
“Our alliance with Anthropic reflects UST’s unwavering commitment to helping clients navigate the AI landscape with confidence and achieve meaningful business outcomes,” said Krishna Sudheendra, Chief Executive Officer, UST.
“UST helps the world’s banks, telecoms, and manufacturers put new technology to work. They’re proving Claude inside their own engineering first, training 20,000 of their own people on it, before bringing it into the systems they build and run for clients,” said Paul Smith, Chief Commercial Officer, Anthropic.
UST also plans to deploy Claude across its own internal functions, including legal, finance, talent and marketing, as part of a broader push to become an “AI-native” organisation.
