Vietnam Airlines has partnered with 2C2P by Antom to expand payment options across eight Asia Pacific markets. The announcement was made at the Vietnam-Singapore Tech Connect Forum on 29 May 2026, during the state visit to Singapore by Vietnamese President To Lam.
The partnership will roll out localised payment methods beyond card payments, including QR payments and internet banking in a first phase followed by mobile wallets, across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Hong Kong. New capabilities will be available from the second half of 2026.
PACO Platform Powers the Integration
Vietnam Airlines will deploy 2C2P by Antom’s Payment Air Controller (PACO), a payment orchestration platform that routes transactions across multiple acquirers through a single API. It is PCI DSS Level 1 certified and integrates with Amadeus and Sabre global distribution systems.
Worachat Luxkanalode, Group CEO of 2C2P by Antom, said the partnership would combine PACO’s orchestration capabilities with local QR and bank payment methods to deliver a more intuitive customer experience at scale across Asia Pacific. Nguyen Quang Trung, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines, said the move supports the airline’s goal of becoming a 5-star carrier by 2030.
Southeast Asia Payments Shift
An IDC InfoBrief commissioned by 2C2P by Antom projects a 104% increase in domestic real-time payments by 2029, accounting for US$92 billion in e-commerce volume and surpassing cards as the largest payment category. Mobile wallets are projected to grow 107% to US$79 billion. 2C2P is part of Ant International‘s Antom business, which also works with NAPAS and Vietcombank to support Vietnam’s digital payments ecosystem.
