Boomi Cuts Onboarding Times and Streamlines HR for New Zealand’s Citycare Property

Boomi has helped New Zealand infrastructure company Citycare Property modernise its HR processes, resulting in faster onboarding, improved data quality, and higher employee satisfaction.

Manual Workarounds Replaced by Automated Integration

Citycare Property builds, maintains, and renews essential infrastructure for central and local governments across New Zealand. After implementing a new HRIS, it struggled to connect with existing payroll and IT platforms. Onboarding a new employee could take days, and staff routinely corrected data errors manually across systems.

“Onboarding a new hire, setting up their account, and getting them active in our systems used to eat up days of work.” – Adam Doocey, CIO, Citycare Property

Citycare engaged Boomi partner Adaptiv to implement Boomi’s Data Hub and Integration capabilities, establishing a single unified view of each employee across HR, payroll, and IT. All changes now flow automatically across platforms without manual intervention.

Visibility and Data Quality Transformed

Following deployment, Citycare reported faster time-to-activation for new hires and a significant improvement in downstream data quality.

“Boomi has given us a degree of visibility that we’ve never had before. We’ve seen a real lift in data quality in the downstream systems.” – Adam Doocey, CIO, Citycare Property

David Irecki, CTO APJ at Boomi, said the engagement demonstrated the value of an employee-centric integration strategy. Boomi serves over 30,000 customers globally, supported by 800+ partners across Asia-Pacific and Japan.
