HONOR has confirmed a Singapore launch date of 4 June 2026 for the Magic V6, its next-generation foldable flagship. Ahead of that date, the device set a new ASIA Record by towing a 1.25-tonne Diamond DA42 aircraft 150 metres using only its hinge mechanism. The feat was independently adjudicated by ASIA Records at SkyPark Regional Aviation Centre. The phone also pulled a Ferrari sports car across 30 metres and was used as a pull-up bar. Following all three tests, the device showed no visible damage to its display or frame.

Super Steel Hinge rated for 500,000 folds

The Magic V6 is built around a new HONOR Super Steel Hinge with a 2,800 MPa tensile strength rating and certification for 500,000 folding cycles, equivalent to over 13 years of daily use. An AI-assisted bionic cushioning system disperses impact forces across the chassis to protect internal components during drops. The device maintains HONOR’s ultra-thin form factor at 8.75mm when folded.

Display upgrades across both screens

The outer display uses HONOR’s new Anti-Scratch Nano Crystal Shield, featuring a 5,600-layer silicon nitride coating. Compared to the Magic V5, HONOR claims 10x improved drop resistance, 15x improved scratch resistance, and 3x improved anti-reflection performance. The outer screen passed 27,000 cycles of steel-wool abrasion testing.

The inner display features HONOR Magic Diamond Screen technology with Ultra-Thin Glass designed to reduce visible creasing and improve long-term structural stability. It carries independent certifications including SGS 5-Star Reliability Low Reflectivity, TUV Rheinland 24-hour Battery Life, and a top ranking in wear resistance performance.

First HONOR foldable with IP68 and IP69

The Magic V6 is HONOR’s first foldable to carry both IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, withstanding water depths of up to 1.5 metres. The dual rating places it among the most water-resistant foldable smartphones available.

Reservations open 25 May

Pre-orders open on 25 May 2026 with a S$100 deposit. Early-bird customers receive a complimentary HONOR Magic Pen valued at S$159. The Magic V6 will be available in four colours: Ferghana Red, Sunrise Gold, Ivory White, and Classic Black.

Reservations can be made through the HONOR official online platform, Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop, HONOR Experience Stores, and authorised retailers including Harvey Norman, Challenger, Courts, and Best Denki. Telco platforms M1, Singtel, and StarHub will also carry the device. The Singapore launch livestream takes place on 4 June 2026 at 12:00 PM SGT via HONOR Singapore’s official website.
