Cohesity and HPE have expanded their seven-year strategic alliance to deliver a more integrated portfolio covering cyber resilience, data protection, and hybrid cloud operations — with new resale agreements and deeper product integrations taking effect immediately across authorised partners in the region.
The expansion, announced in Singapore on 15 May, comes as organisations across ASEAN face intensifying pressure to recover faster from ransomware and operational disruptions in increasingly complex hybrid environments.
New cross-sell agreements and product integrations
Under the expanded partnership, Cohesity will begin reselling HPE Zerto software, combining Zerto’s continuous data protection and near-instant recovery capabilities with Cohesity’s AI-powered data security platform. This enables organisations to protect applications continuously and recover rapidly from ransomware or operational outages with ultra-low recovery point and time objectives.
HPE will extend its existing resale of Cohesity DataProtect to include Cohesity NetBackup, optimised for disaggregated backup and storage architectures including HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 and HPE StoreOnce systems. Cohesity will also deepen integration with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials and HPE Morpheus Enterprise Software for virtualisation and unified cloud management, with general availability planned for mid-2026.
ASEAN focus and US federal momentum
Lim Hsin Yin, Vice President of Sales, ASEAN Region at Cohesity, said organisations across the region are treating cyber resilience as a business imperative rather than a technical one, requiring solutions that protect critical data and maintain continuity across hybrid environments.
The two companies also pointed to a significant US federal win as evidence of the partnership’s scale. The Defense Information Systems Agency selected HPE to deploy a sovereign cloud architecture using HPE GreenLake with Cohesity providing data protection capabilities — a long-term, consumption-based arrangement covering multiple security domains.
“This collaboration puts HPE and Cohesity in pole position to bring even more powerful and integrated cyber-resilient solutions to our customers. Enterprises everywhere want to confidently and quickly protect and recover their most critical data.” — Sanjay Poonen, CEO and President, Cohesity
HPE named Cohesity its FY25 Europe OEM Partner of the Year following 177% year-on-year growth in software sales across European institutions. The expanded alliance builds on that momentum as demand for integrated cyber resilience solutions grows across ASEAN and globally.
