Legal technology firm Clio has launched its AI-powered platform, Clio Work, in Singapore, New Zealand and Hong Kong, marking a significant expansion of its Asia-Pacific footprint and bringing what it calls the industry’s first “Intelligent Legal Work Platform” to the region.

The launch positions Clio Work as a system designed to bridge legal operations with legal research, using artificial intelligence to help solicitors and law firms manage matters, documents and deadlines within a single environment. The company said the platform is available immediately to legal practitioners in all three markets.

Legal AI Platform Targets Fragmented Workflows

Clio said Clio Work addresses a long-standing challenge in the legal sector: fragmented technology stacks that separate case management from legal research. Unlike standalone AI tools, the platform is built to understand the specific context of each legal matter by drawing on data already held within a firm’s systems.

According to the company, Clio Work integrates matter files, correspondence and court dates with a large repository of legal authority, allowing practitioners to generate insights that are relevant to the case at hand. Outputs can then be used directly for drafting documents, preparing client updates or shaping legal strategy without switching platforms.

“Legal practitioners have long navigated a landscape of disconnected tools that separate their case files from their legal research, and with Clio Work, we are closing that gap,” said Denise Farmer, general manager for Asia-Pacific at Clio.

Focus on Commonwealth Jurisdictions

A key feature highlighted by the company is Clio Library, which it described as the world’s largest global legal dataset. The library includes coverage across Commonwealth jurisdictions, which Clio said ensures that AI-generated outputs are grounded in verified legal authority and suitable for court use.

Farmer said Singapore, New Zealand and Hong Kong were chosen for the rollout because of their emphasis on efficiency, accuracy and strong legal standards. “We are bringing a true System of Action to markets that demand high standards of professional performance,” she added.

Growing Demand for Legal Technology in Asia-Pacific

The launch comes as law firms across Asia-Pacific increasingly invest in legal technology to manage rising workloads, regulatory complexity and client expectations. Singapore, in particular, has positioned itself as a regional legal and dispute-resolution hub, with both local and international firms seeking tools that improve productivity without compromising quality.

Clio said its platform is designed to go beyond organising legal work, using AI to actively advance matters by identifying risks and surfacing insights based on the full context of each case.

Clio Work is available now to legal professionals in Singapore, New Zealand and Hong Kong. The company said it will continue to invest in the region as adoption grows, with further enhancements expected to expand AI-driven capabilities within the platform.
