Indeed, the world’s largest job site, has introduced a suite of artificial intelligence (AI) tools aimed at improving the hiring process for both job seekers and employers. The new features include Career Scout, a virtual career coach, and Talent Scout, an AI recruiter, alongside Premium Sponsored Jobs and Indeed Connect.

AI support for job seekers

Career Scout, built into the Indeed mobile app, offers personalised career coaching. It helps users explore potential career paths, receive tailored job recommendations, and prepare for interviews. The tool also assists with resume customisation, application pre-filling, and interview practice.

Indeed said early results show that Career Scout enables candidates to find and apply for jobs seven times faster and increases their likelihood of being hired by 38 per cent.

The launch comes amid research showing that more than half of job seekers feel stuck in their careers, while nearly four in five want better insights into roles that fit their skills. Yet, only 19 per cent have ever worked with a career coach, often citing cost and limited access.

AI recruiter for employers

For employers, Talent Scout functions as a conversational AI recruiter. It draws on Indeed’s database of millions of searchable profiles to suggest suitable candidates and generate personalised outreach messages.

The system integrates with applicant tracking systems such as isolved People Cloud, Workable and Workday through a Google Chrome extension. It also provides labour market intelligence, including salary benchmarks and job description optimisation.

A recruiter from BrightSpring Health Services, quoted in Indeed’s announcement, said the tool broadened their candidate pool and improved sourcing strategies.

Expanding job advertising and hiring tools

Alongside the AI agents, Indeed launched Premium Sponsored Jobs, which combine advertising, branding and sourcing features. Employers can filter candidates by qualifications, distance and occupation across more than 300 categories.

Indeed reported that Premium postings generate three times more applicants and reduce time-to-hire by 58 per cent compared with free listings.

The company also unveiled Indeed Connect, a subscription service bundling access to its latest AI products. Early features include Advanced Screening, which uses conversational AI to verify credentials and summarise applicant information, and Advanced Sourcing, which engages candidates directly and delivers them into employer systems.

According to Indeed, 75 per cent of employers said their overall time-to-hire decreased when multiple products were used together on its platform.

The roll-out marks Indeed’s push to address long-standing hiring challenges in both candidate discovery and employer decision-making. Maggie Hulce, Chief Revenue Officer at Indeed, said the company’s scale and insights make it “uniquely positioned to create new ways for talent and opportunity to connect”.

The new services are available through the Indeed platform, with Premium Sponsored Jobs tied to paid plans and Indeed Connect offered as a subscription.
