ST Engineering Sounds Alarm on AI and Quantum Cyber Threats at Largest-Ever Cybersecurity Summit

ST Engineering convened over 1,000 global cybersecurity leaders on Thursday (Jul 4) at its largest Cybersecurity Summit to date, spotlighting the growing intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing and cyber threats. The event, now in its fourth edition, underscored urgent digital defence challenges facing governments, critical industries and enterprises worldwide.

Senior Minister of State for Communications and Information Tan Kiat How attended as Guest-of-Honour, lending weight to the summit’s theme: tackling the “triple threat” of AI, cyberattacks and quantum risk.

Organised by ST Engineering’s Cyber business — one of Singapore’s leading cybersecurity providers with over 25 years of experience — the summit aimed to drive dialogue and strategy in an increasingly complex threat landscape.

“Now in its fourth edition, the summit centred on the triple threat of cyber, AI and quantum, spotlighting the urgent intersection of emerging technologies that are transforming the cyber landscape,” said Mr Goh Eng Choon, President of Cyber at ST Engineering.

Innovations at the Forefront

The company unveiled 15 advanced cybersecurity solutions designed to defend critical systems against next-generation threats. Among them was AGIL® Secure AI, a system built to protect AI and generative AI platforms from exploitation, and EtherCrypt 1000, which delivers quantum-safe encryption aimed at future-proofing digital assets.

Also showcased were AI-powered monitoring and threat hunting tools like Adaptive & Intelligent Cyber Monitoring of OT Systems (AICYMO) and Agentic AI Cyber Analyst, both developed to bolster defences across IT, OT and cloud environments.

Focus on SME Cyber Resilience

In a notable move to support smaller enterprises, ST Engineering also launched AETHER (AI-Enabled Threat Elimination and Response) — a fully managed service tailored for SMEs. AETHER uses AI-driven behavioural analytics to identify and respond to both known and unknown threats at endpoint levels.

The launch aligns with Singapore’s national push to improve cybersecurity standards across its digital ecosystem. AETHER builds on the SME Cyber Resilience Programme, launched jointly with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in May 2025, to enhance protection for small and medium businesses.

Global Reach, Local Roots

ST Engineering’s Cyber business now supports customers across 19 countries and 11 critical sectors — including energy, water, and transport — combining hardware, solutions and services to deliver end-to-end cybersecurity defence.

“It reflects our commitment to advancing the cybersecurity agenda by sharing insights, shaping strategy and showcasing solutions that secure what matters most to businesses and critical sectors,” Mr Goh added.
