ServiceNow has unveiled the ServiceNow Protected Platform Singapore (SPP-SG) — a sovereign cloud platform that ensures full data residency within Singapore’s borders — designed to meet the stringent security and compliance requirements of the public sector and regulated industries.
Built on Microsoft Azure, the platform is engineered to support artificial intelligence (AI)-powered workflows at scale, providing a secure foundation for digital transformation efforts across government agencies and sectors such as finance and healthcare. The SPP-SG is currently pursuing MTCS Level 3 certification, Singapore’s highest standard for cloud security used for managing sensitive public sector data.
“This marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to Singapore – a nation that has long set the standard for secure, responsible innovation,” said Pat Casey, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of DevOps at ServiceNow. “With SPP-SG, we’re enabling government and regulated industries to innovate with AI without compromising security.”

Alongside the platform launch, ServiceNow announced a strategic partnership with Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) aimed at strengthening Singapore’s tech workforce. The collaboration will see NYP students build real-world AI applications on the new SPP-SG platform, directly contributing to government use cases.
The initiative includes co-developing AI-focused curricula, industry certifications and applied research projects. NYP will also serve as a testbed for innovations from the ServiceNow Digital Innovation Hub.
“This collaboration with ServiceNow enables our students to deepen their AI capabilities through meaningful internships and hands-on industry projects,” said Ms Tan Soon Keow, Director of the School of Information Technology at NYP. “It will also elevate how we nurture and develop talent at NYP to succeed in an AI-powered economy.”
Scaling talent development
By 2030, the collaboration aims to train over 1,500 pre-employment and adult learners in AI and digital workflow skills. Students from NYP’s School of Information Technology will have the opportunity to earn the ‘Certified System Administrator Certification’, showcasing their proficiency in managing the ServiceNow platform — a credential expected to improve their job prospects.
The initiative supports broader national goals to build a digitally resilient and AI-ready workforce amid increasing demand for tech talent in both public and private sectors.
Data sovereignty meets innovation
SPP-SG addresses rising concerns over data sovereignty and protection by ensuring all customer data is stored, processed, and secured within Singapore. It follows international compliance standards and aims to instil confidence among agencies and enterprises seeking robust AI capabilities without compromising on regulatory adherence.
