Sekolah Kebangsaan Port Dickson (SKPD) in Negeri Sembilan has recently partnered with Tech Up Sdn. Bhd., a STEM education solutions provider, to implement a virtual robotic learning program for its students. SKPD has selected GoTechUp, Tech Up’s robotic simulation software, which embodies self-learning concepts to help increase proficiency in programming and critical thinking skills. This program will be implemented monthly throughout 2023 and involves over 600 students from Standard 3 to 6.

Besides the virtual robotic learning program, SKPD has also established a Robotics Club in collaboration with Tech Up. This initiative will incorporate products from Tech Up into the club’s activities, further enhancing students’ learning experiences in the field of robotics.

Ainaa Rosli, CEO of Tech Up, expressed excitement over SKPD’s decision to use their software. She added that more educators are now open to new methods of learning, and Tech Up’s software is reducing the fear of students and educators towards STEM and digitalization.

Headmistress of SK Port Dickson, Hajah Zuraidah binti Ahmad, shared her excitement in starting the virtual robotic program. She stated that GoTechUp’s cost-effective virtual learning method and its ability to make learning fun for students will help prepare the younger generation for a future that requires digital skills.

GoTechUp has a user-friendly interface and has been used not only in Malaysia but also in Australia, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, the Philippines, and South Korea. Ainaa hopes that more schools will follow SKPD’s lead as Tech Up strives to provide equal access and opportunity to STEM education.
