MyRepublic has announced the launch of “Data-Only Plan”, Singapore’s most affordable no-contract, data-only mobile plan to date. 

For only S$3.99 per month, customers will enjoy up to 14GB of surfing and chatting on-the-go. The data allowance comprises 4GB of high-speed data and an additional 10GB at a managed speed of 1Mbps.

“We regularly listen to the feedback of our customers and community, and one of the most popular requests we consistently receive is for an ultra-affordable mobile phone plan with just pure data,” said Lawrence Chan, Managing Director, MyRepublic Singapore. “The Data-Only Plan is the perfect solution for many customer needs, such as to serve as a secondary back-up SIM or for young teens learning to be responsible with their first smartphone.” 

Unlike other telcos, MyRepublic’s Data-Only Plan does not punish consumers for unknowingly exceeding their data allowance by charging high prices for excess data usage. 

Once consumers hit their data cap, they may simply purchase instant data boosters through MyRepublic’s mobile app from just S$4.00 per GB or wait until the next billing cycle. 

The Data-Only Plan also serves as a springboard for customers to tap into more MyRepublic value-added services.

For instance, as Singaporeans jet off for their first holiday in more than a year under the new vaccinated travel lanes, they can instantly buy affordable roaming data add-ons from just S$6.00 through the MyRepublic mobile app.

Customers who need more data allowances on a regular basis can also upgrade easily from the Data-Only Plan to the Lite, Core, Pro, or Unlimited plans. 

The Data-Only Plan is currently available only for MyRepublic fibre broadband customers, and is expected to be generally available in 2022. Customers may sign up through MyRepublic’s MyAccount dashboard, or through any official or partner retail stores.
