When you hear the name, Razer, you will think of amazing RGB lights doing waves on their computer accessories and of course, the price that comes with it. But things have changed.

Razer has recently announced a new Razer BlackWidow, Kraken and Basilisk Essential line with price tags that are more palatable to your pockets.

Though a more value-for-money price tag might make you think that you are getting less for sure, the Razer BlackWidow didn’t seem to skim on too much when it comes to features, as compared to the flagship BlackWidow Elite.

The Razer BlackWidow comes with Razer’s tactile and its signature clicky Green Mechanical Switches. It also adopted Razer’s improved dual-side wall switch design, which significantly minimise key wobbling and increase accuracy and responsiveness.

According to Razer, “each key is rated to last up to 80 million keystrokes.”

And yes, the BlackWidow will have Razer Chroma integration, which allows you to change individual key lighting of 16.8 million colours through the Razer Synapse 3.

The price? SGD199.90.

Also in this new line of accessories is Razer Kraken, the successor to the Kraken Pro V2. With 50mm drivers, the Kraken brings nothing but clear and powerful sound of your game to your ears.

Its microphone is retractable, which means you can adjust it near your mouth to minimise background disturbances when you communicate with your teammates.

For long-term comfort, Razer also fitted in a thicker headband padding and a full-ear gel cooling cushions so that you don’t feel tired and warm wearing the Kraken for long hours.

The damage to your wallet? A mere SGD129.90.

Lastly, we have the Basilisk Essential. Possibly the cheapest mouse of Razer’s mice.
