Dell and Alienware unveil new products at IT Show 2019

Looking for gaming laptops to bring your Apex Legends along wherever you go? Dell and Alienware have just what you need.

The companies have brought their newest products, first showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2019, to the IT Show at Suntec City.

These include the Dell G7 15 (7590), Dell G7 17 (7790), Dell G5 15 (5590) and Alienware m17.

The Alienware m17 is the thinnest and lightest of the company’s gaming notebook series. It weighs at about 2.6kg. Yes, it’s considered heavy if you compare with normal laptops.

Here are the differentiating factors.

The Alienware m17 is packed with:

• 8th-gen Intel Core i7 processor featuring dynamic CPU overlocking;
• an elevated thermal headroom from Cryo-Tech Cooling technology;
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 Series GPUs; and
• Real-time ray tracing, AI and programmable shading.

Of course, Dell’s G5 and G7 are not at all lacklustre as compared to the Alienware m17.

Also the thinnest of the G series, the two new introductions to the market are packed with the 8th-gen Intel CFL-H quad and hex core processors.

They are paired with the latest NVIDIA graphics card that optimises gaming experience on AAA game titles, and not forgetting the 144Hz refresh rate.

One key difference between the G5 and G7 is that the latter offers the Alienware Command Centre and 4-zone RGB keyboard with customisable backlighting.

The G5, on the other hand, is available in alpine white that has a clear panel at the bottom to “show off the blue fans of the cooling system.”

Pricing and availability

The Dell G7 15 (7590), Dell G7 17 (7790), Dell G5 15 (5590) and Alienware m17 are now available on Dell.com.sg. If you prefer getting it through their authorised retailer, it’ll be on the shelves from 18 March. This will give you some time to think about getting one of them or not.
