SINGAPORE — Arlo Technologies, Inc., the market leader in connected cameras, announced today that its Arlo Smart service plan for the Arlo family of smart cameras will now be available in Singapore. Dedicated to implementing superior safeguarding, the new Arlo Smart subscription service plans utilise intelligent algorithms and smart analytics to offer advanced personalisation to ensure the swift delivery of important notifications. Arlo Smart extends the availability of video recordings up to 60 days and provides all-new industry-first Animal, Vehicle and Package Detection capabilities that will be available as part of Arlo Smart subscriptions later this year.1
Brad Little, Vice President and Managing Director, APAC, Arlo Technologies, said:
“The more intelligence we integrate through AI analytics, the more convenience the system offers to our users. Arlo Smart service plans provide our users with the most responsive way to monitor their home. From intelligently learning about notification preferences to reducing ‘false positive’ alerts, the new Arlo Smart service plans have been designed with personalised and simplified safeguarding at the forefront.”
Arlo Smart’s service plans ensure that users only get the alerts that matter most. Using advanced algorithms, Arlo cameras can learn to understand what they see, reducing the number of false notifications from normal everyday movement. Smart features such as Person Detection and Cloud Activity Zones allow users to define motion zones and filter out false notifications like the neighbour’s cat running along the fence or trees swaying in the wind. The Rich Notifications feature enables users to see what Arlo sees, right from the smartphone lock screen, eliminating the need to launch the app to view videos from alerts.
With the help of new computer vision technology, Arlo Smart further informs users about what triggered their camera to begin recording. These insights on detected activity allow users to personalise alerts while filtering out false notifications from everyday movements. Arlo Smart users will be able to tailor notifications to their liking, ensuring they are notified when their Arlo camera, for example, sees a package being delivered, a vehicle passing by a specific area, or an animal wandering near the premises. Users will be able to exclude unwanted vehicle or animal alerts to customise monitoring preferences.
Arlo Smart is available for purchase for every Arlo camera either through the Arlo web portal or Arlo app. Arlo Smart service plans also extend the availability of cloud recordings up to 60 days and start at just SG$3.99 per camera per month, or SG$11.99 per month for the Premier subscription for up to 10 cameras. Annual subscriptions are also available for the Premier plan at SG$119 and the Elite plan at SG$199. Arlo is also offering new subscribers a one-month free trial of the Arlo Smart Premier plan.
