Named YY Part Time Jobs, the brainchild app of YY Hong Ye Group aims to help part-time jobseekers find work and employers who require part-time workers meet their labour demand.

Currently, the app has more than 32,000 profiles of part-time jobseekers aged between 16 and 67, of which 28,000 were from their present database, ready for organisations to tap on.

Hirers that are currently onboard the hiring platform include Hilton Singapore, Marina Bay Sands, The Fullerton, Shangri-La Hotel, McDonald’s, Burger King, Bread Talk, Pet Lovers Centre, etc.

Partnering organisations can choose to connect directly with the part-timers or through YY Hong Ye Group via the app. The benefits of going through YY Hong Ye Group are for its training and manpower management.

CEO of YY Hong Ye Group, Mike Fu shared that the workforce solutions company will “interview all part-timers and offer new candidates a two-hour basic training, so that they are well-prepared to take on the job responsibilities.”

The training will depend on the type of work that the part-timers are assigned. For example, in the F&B or hotel industry, training will be provided specifically on banquet services and personal grooming.

Fu also said that with the YY Part Time Jobs app, “companies can better manage their hiring budgets, as they can keep the minimum strength of full-time staff and engage part-timers whenever needed.”

Hiring organisations signing up for an employer’s account need to indicate the job details, location of work, skills, years of experience needed and their budget. Once there’s a match with a candidate in the system and if both parties accept, the hiring managers can arrange for interviews with the candidate.

Manual matching is also available via YY Hong Ye Group’s hotline if job-matching was unsuccessful.

According to YY Hong Ye Group, the app will gradually expand into other industries in the near future. Also, work is in progress to upgrade the platform with chat features, a smarter algorithm, smart filtering and YY Pay.

The app is currently available for free on iOS and Android.
