The Nest Cam IQ is Nest‘s latest indoor security camera that is capable of recording 4K images in 8 megapixels with 12x digital zoom and high dynamic range (HDR) imaging. According to Nest, the new speakers are “7x more powerful than its original Nest cam.” The HD Talk feature also has “an advanced three-microphone array” that can help you to speak clearly to the burglars or to disturb your kids at home.

Besides the new upgrades, Nest also added in Person Alerts, which was only available in their previous Nest Cam models with a Nest Aware subscription. The Person Alerts with its Familiar Face Alerts feature allows the Nest Cam IQ to auto-identify the person in its frame. If it is a subject that is not recognised by its memory, the camera will send an alert to the owner. It will hardly miss out a lot since it has a 130-degree lens and pair it with the powerful 4K image-recording, images will come out crispy sharp.

The Nest Cam IQ indoor security camera is available on Nest’s e-store at USD299. You will save USD100 if you get two of these two WALL•E looking cameras i.e. USD498.
