Ensign InfoSecurity has joined the SpaceX Super Intelligence (SpaceXSI) Partner Network, becoming the first Singapore-headquartered company to join as a Grok Build Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) services partner.

Key Takeaways
  • Ensign InfoSecurity is training an initial cohort of about 50 software engineering and technology specialists on Grok Build, SpaceXSI’s AI-enabled software development platform.
  • As Forward Deployed Engineers, the trained specialists will work inside customers’ environments, from defining the problem to building and testing the application.
  • The partnership covers engagements in Singapore and across Asia, where Ensign has an existing regional presence, and can draw on its cybersecurity expertise in data protection and secure development practices.

Training Forward Deployed Engineers on Grok Build

Ensign InfoSecurity plans to train around 50 software engineering and technology specialists on Grok Build, the AI-enabled software development platform from SpaceXSI. For customer engagements, the trained specialists work as Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs), embedded directly within a customer’s environment from defining the problem through to building and testing the application.

Closing the gap between AI coding tools and real use

Ensign says the partnership addresses a common gap in enterprise AI adoption: organisations are experimenting with AI coding tools, but moving from individual use to applications that work across a business takes more than access to the technology.

“Many organisations have begun experimenting with AI coding tools. As AI becomes better at writing code, it becomes even more important to understand what is worth building,” said Charles Ng, Chief Executive Officer of Ensign InfoSecurity. “Our engineers will work directly with customers to understand the problems they are trying to solve and build applications that work within their environments.”

Cybersecurity expertise built in

Beyond the Grok Build engagements, customers can also draw on Ensign’s cybersecurity expertise in data protection, access controls, risk assessments and secure software development practices where relevant. The partnership covers customer engagements in Singapore and, through Ensign’s existing presence across Asia, extends into multiple industries across the wider region.
