A textured flat illustration in a warm, cozy editorial style. A hand holding a smartphone with a large camera module, aimed at a distant bird on a branch far across the scene, with faint concentric rings radiating from the lens to suggest zoom reach. Style: Simplified, stylized forms with minimal detail. Soft organic grain texture. Muted autumnal color palette (warm yellows, oranges, browns, sage greens, cream backgrounds). Single soft light source creating subtle shadows. Flat shapes with no 3D rendering. Thin consistent outlines. Mid-century modern illustration influence. Composition: Clear focal point, balanced layout, environmental details rendered simply. Generous negative space. 16:9 landscape. Mood: Calm, warm, relatable, editorial, lifestyle. Technical: High resolution, matte finish, no harsh gradients. No text, no logos, no recognisable faces.

Vivo’s new vivo X500 Series goes on sale in Singapore from 31 October, with the X500 and X500 Pro Max built around a telephoto camera system co-engineered with ZEISS and the largest batteries vivo has fitted to an X Series phone.

Key Takeaways
  • The X500 Pro Max (12GB+512GB) launches at $2,299, down from $2,499, while the X500 starts at $1,899; promotions run until 30 November.
  • The Pro Max carries a 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera and supports an optional 400mm-equivalent ZEISS Telephoto Extender, with autofocus tracking at up to 60fps.
  • Both phones run OriginOS 7, which adds AirDrop-style file sharing with Apple devices, plus batteries of 7,800mAh (Pro Max) and 7,500mAh (X500) — the largest in the X Series’ history.

A ZEISS telephoto system built for distance

The X500 Pro Max leads on imaging with a 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera on a 1/1.4-inch sensor, paired with an 85mm equivalent focal length and CIPA 7.0 stabilisation for steadier handheld shots in low light. Vivo’s X-Track Engine handles subject tracking across photo and video, including autofocus tracking at up to 60fps in Snapshot Mode and 30x Long-Range Motion Snapshot on the Pro Max.

For reach beyond the built-in lens, the Pro Max supports the 400mm-equivalent vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, sold separately for $349. The standard X500 carries a 72mm equivalent ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera alongside a 50MP ZEISS Ultra-Sensing main camera.

On video, the Pro Max supports Cinematic Pro Log recording across a 17 EV dynamic range, native 4K at 240fps, and a new 4K Dolby Vision Portrait Video mode.

Bigger batteries, OriginOS 7

Battery capacity has gone up across the line: 7,800mAh on the Pro Max and 7,500mAh on the X500, both supporting 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. Vivo says its semi-solid-state battery technology keeps the phones running reliably down to -20°C.

The series ships with OriginOS 7, which brings closer cross-device links with Apple hardware — including AirDrop-style file sharing and iCloud connectivity — along with on-device AI tools such as automatic meeting and lecture summaries through AI Recorder.
