Check Point Software Technologies (NASDAQ: CHKP) has partnered with Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to bring its SecureAcademy curriculum to more than 500 cybersecurity students a year, with the programme rolling out progressively across all three ITE Colleges.
Key Takeaways
- The Check Point SecureAcademy grant will support more than 500 ITE learners annually across all three ITE Colleges.
- The curriculum supplements ITE’s Higher Nitec in Cyber & Network Security programme with enterprise-grade tools, virtual labs and certification pathways.
- At GovWare 2026, ITE and Check Point students showcased an “AI Security in Action” project built on Check Point Workforce AI Security.
What the partnership covers
The Check Point SecureAcademy grant, valued at US$60,000, is part of Check Point Services, the division that also runs the company’s security assessments, co-managed security services and incident response work. ITE will integrate the curriculum progressively across its three colleges, supplementing existing coursework and particularly the Higher Nitec in Cyber & Network Security programme.
Check Point’s learning resources are already available across ITE’s campuses, with curriculum integration for cybersecurity-related programmes under way from this year.
Hands-on training, not just theory
Students get access to Check Point’s online learning platform, instructional materials, virtual labs and industry certification preparation resources, delivered through interactive challenges and scenario-based exercises rather than classroom lectures alone. ITE lecturers will also go through train-the-trainer sessions to keep classroom instruction aligned with current enterprise security environments.
The aim is to graduate students who already have practical exposure to enterprise security technologies and certification pathways, preparing them for roles such as Security Operations Centre analyst, cybersecurity technician, network security specialist and infrastructure support professional.
AI security in action
The partnership also extends into newer ground. At GovWare 2026, ITE and Check Point ran “AI Security in Action,” a student-led project at the ITE booth built on Check Point Workforce AI Security. Participating students worked through real-world AI security scenarios, covering how organisations discover AI usage, govern access and security policies, and protect sensitive data from risky AI interactions in real time — taking on roles as presenters, administrators and users along the way.
“As cyber threats grow increasingly sophisticated, bridging the cyber security skills gap is critical to securing Singapore’s digital economy. Through our partnership with ITE, we are thrilled to bring Check Point SecureAcademy’s enterprise-grade tools, interactive simulations, and industry-recognised certifications directly to the classroom.”
Rebecca Law, Country Manager for Singapore, Check Point Software Technologies
Peh Wee Leng, Director of the School of Electronics and Info-Comm Technology at ITE College East, said the collaboration strengthens ITE’s efforts to develop job-ready cybersecurity talent at a time of growing demand for skilled professionals across both the public and private sectors in Singapore.
