Qashier has launched an AI tool it’s calling the region’s first AI general manager — built to answer questions about a merchant’s sales and payouts, and to act on routine admin once an owner approves it.
Qashier, which serves more than 25,000 businesses across Southeast Asia, says QashierGM lives inside QashierHQ, the web and mobile app merchants already use to manage sales, payouts, products and staff. It’s available now at no extra cost to Qashier merchants in Singapore, with Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines following in November. Merchants on the Qashier plan also get Crew, a new team chat where any staff member can tag @GM to pull a number, update a menu item or send an invoice.
Because QashierGM works from a merchant’s own transactions, Qashier says it can explain specifics a general-purpose chatbot can’t — such as why a payout came in lower than the day’s sales, or which outlet underperformed that week. Multi-outlet operators can compare stores and push a change to every location in one request; store managers can see and edit only their own store.
“Most small business owners can’t afford a general manager, so they become one after closing, going through reports at midnight,” said Christopher Choo, Co-Founder and CEO of Qashier. “QashierGM is the manager they never had. It already knows the business, takes on the routine work and never makes a change without asking. With Crew, it now works alongside the whole team, not just the owner.”
The launch follows an open beta that started in September, with F&B operators the most active users — many asking QashierGM to suggest festive promotions based on their best-selling items ahead of the year-end season. Jun Rong, Operations Manager of Coexist Coffee Co., said using QashierGM felt like talking to his own store managers, “only faster”.
Qashier, licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a Major Payment Institution, processes more than US$1 billion in annualised payment volume. The company has been profitable since December 2025 and raised US$6.125 million in a Series A+ round in June 2026.
