TrendAI, the enterprise business unit of Trend Micro, and the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) have signed a Memorandum of Collaboration to run Singapore Cyber Conquest, the national capture-the-flag competition, for the next three years.
The agreement was signed at Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) 2026 on 13 October. It was witnessed by Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information Tan Kiat How and Eva Chen, CEO and co-founder of Trend Micro.
A national cyber talent pipeline
Singapore Cyber Conquest is part of CSA’s SG Cyber Youth Programme and has Student and Open categories. It is the top “Excel” tier of the SG Cyber Youth Odyssey 2.0 pathway, for participants moving up from the Youth Cyber Exploration Programme. Over three years, CSA and TrendAI aim to engage more than 1,500 participants from schools and industry.
CSA Assistant Chief Executive for Policy and Corporate Development Ong Kok Wee said “a strong cybersecurity workforce is critical to Singapore’s digital resilience”. He said the refreshed competition will give participants practical challenges to apply their skills.
Rachel Jin, Chief Platform and Business Officer and Head of TrendAI, said AI is increasing “the speed, scale and sophistication of cyberattacks”. She said TrendAI will bring its threat intelligence to the competition so participants train on how threats are evolving.
Finals on 14 October
An online qualifier on 12 September narrowed the field to 40 finalist teams, 20 from each category. They compete in the finals on site at SICW on 14 October.
