Wireless Logic IoT Network Tracks Changi Airport Vehicles

Wireless Logic, an enterprise IoT connectivity provider, has published its first Asia-Pacific customer case study, on tracking more than 4,000 airside vehicles and ground support equipment at Changi Airport in Singapore. The deployment, with asset monitoring provider Overdrive, delivers an estimated 30% improvement in operational efficiency and less downtime, according to Wireless Logic.

The company released the case study on 8 October 2026. The efficiency figure is an estimate from the vendors rather than an independently verified result.

IoT connectivity for airside vehicle tracking

Airport ground teams need continuous visibility to stay safe and avoid bottlenecks, but cellular coverage drops around terminals and in underground baggage tunnels. The setup tackles that in two ways. Local multi-network IoT SIMs switch networks automatically where coverage is weak, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh technology relays signals through tunnels and basements.

On security, a private APN keeps operational data off the public internet. Wireless Logic says this meets the airport’s strict cybersecurity mandates.

Aston Chia, CEO of Overdrive, said the tracking platform shows the airport’s teams where every vehicle is at any moment, and that this depends on connectivity “we can rely on.” Syed Natashrul, Head of APAC at Wireless Logic, said the two companies are helping keep Changi safe, efficient and resilient.

Wireless Logic says it works with more than 750 network partners across 165 countries and manages over 20 million connected devices.
