Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab S12 Series in Singapore, with the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ priced from $1,698 and on sale from 1 October.

The new tablets run Android 17 with One UI 9 and Galaxy AI. Samsung says the Tab S12 Ultra is its thinnest and most powerful Galaxy Tab so far.

“From professionals managing busy schedules at work and at home, to individuals building new skills and pursuing creative passions, Singaporeans are looking for technology that helps them make the most of every moment,” said Ronnie Ng, Vice President and Head of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics Singapore.

Galaxy Tab S12 specifications and display

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a 14.6-inch display and measures 5.1mm thick. The Galaxy Tab S12+ has a 12.6-inch screen with slimmer bezels than its predecessor. Both use Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits.

Samsung rates battery life at up to 23 hours on the Ultra and up to 21 hours on the S12+. A 45W adapter charges either model in about 95 minutes.

Both tablets use a 3nm processor. Compared with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, Samsung claims NPU processing is up to 61% faster, CPU performance up to 19% faster and GPU power up to 17% better. The tablets also have a 3D Vapor Chamber for cooling, IP68 water and dust resistance, and 4-channel spatial audio, double the previous generation.

Samsung is promising up to seven OS upgrades and security updates.

Galaxy AI and pre-loaded apps

The tablets come with an S Pen. Multi Window lets users split the screen into up to three sections, for example to watch a lecture, take notes in Samsung Notes and run an AI assistant at once. Note Assist summarises handwritten notes, and Samsung Browser uses Galaxy AI to condense information across multiple tabs.

Adobe Photoshop comes pre-loaded, which Samsung describes as a first for Android tablets. Buyers get four months of the Photoshop premium mobile plan, and the app includes Adobe Firefly features such as Generative Fill and Image to Video.
