Razer has unveiled the Mako, a new line of compact desktop gaming speakers designed to deliver fuller sound and deeper bass for gaming setups, alongside Razer Chroma RGB lighting.

The line comes in two versions: the standard Mako, which adds a dedicated forward-firing subwoofer for deeper bass, and the more compact Mako X, which uses built-in passive radiators to extend low-end response in a smaller footprint. Both use custom-tuned 2.75-inch full-range drivers and an angled desktop design, with 7.1 virtual surround sound to widen the soundstage for games, films and music.

Lighting and connectivity

The standard Mako features rear-projection Razer Chroma RGB lighting, while the Mako X adds a 10-zone Chroma RGB underglow. Both connect via USB-C, Bluetooth 5.3 or a 3.5mm jack.

“The Mako line is our answer to gamers who want room-filling sound in a compact footprint. Every part of it is built around that idea. Custom-tuned full-range drivers and room-filling bass give games, music, and movies real weight, 7.1 virtual surround sound opens up the soundstage, and Razer Chroma RGB extends lighting beyond the speakers to bring the whole battlestation to life,” said Barrie Ooi, Head of PC Gaming Division at Razer.

Pricing and availability

The Razer Mako X is priced at S$159 and will be available from 6 October 2026 at Razer.com, Razer stores and select retailers worldwide. The standard Razer Mako will follow in December 2026, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.
