SentinelOne (NYSE: S) has expanded its Wayfinder Frontier AI Services with OpenAI’s Daybreak models, starting with GPT-5.6-Cyber, to help customers identify and remediate exploitable threats before attackers can act on them.
The expansion is delivered through the Daybreak Defense Network, OpenAI’s cyber defense initiative. SentinelOne’s research arm, SentinelLABS, says its testing found GPT-5.6-Cyber delivered best-in-class results in reverse engineering and analysis of sophisticated malware.
New code risk and compromise assessment capabilities
The expanded service adds two capability areas. AI-Powered Code Risk Analysis scans a customer’s code repository for OWASP-class flaws, exposed secrets and supply-chain risk, flagging which vulnerabilities are realistically reachable by an attacker. AI-Enabled Compromise Assessment evaluates telemetry against detection rules to surface posture gaps, including risky use of VPNs, proxies and remote-management tools. Both feed into the same malware analysis pipeline, with findings validated by SentinelOne’s offensive and defensive security analysts before delivery to customers.
“Attackers are increasingly using AI to find and exploit weaknesses with greater speed and scale,” said Steve Stone, Chief Customer Officer, SentinelOne. “In our testing, OpenAI’s GPT-5.6-Cyber has already proven to be exceptionally good at malware analysis, code risk assessments and other offensive cyber capabilities, making it a perfect fit for Wayfinder Frontier AI Services and our customers.”
Wayfinder Frontier AI Services is generally available, with the new capabilities and expanded model lineup rolling out in private preview ahead of broader availability.
