Salesforce has announced a significant expansion of Headless 360, its architecture for exposing the entire platform as APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and CLI commands, alongside the launch of Slack Code, a new collaborative workspace for AI coding agents inside Slack.
The two announcements advance what Salesforce calls the “Agentic Enterprise” — a shift from AI systems that merely observe enterprise data to AI agents that can complete end-to-end work across a company’s existing tools, permissions and workflows.
Headless 360 turns Salesforce clouds into reusable capabilities
Headless 360 transforms every Salesforce cloud into a set of reusable enterprise capabilities that any authorised AI agent can securely discover and act on through open standards, without organisations having to rebuild integrations or business logic for each new AI experience.

The expansion builds on groundwork Salesforce laid earlier this year and extends a company push, dating back more than two decades to its early enterprise web APIs, toward making business logic accessible beyond a single application interface.
Slack Code brings AI development into team conversations
Slack Code creates a dedicated collaborative space within Slack where AI coding agents and human teams work side by side. Available across all Slack plans, it is designed to remove development bottlenecks by keeping agent activity visible to the wider team in real time.
Salesforce describes the shift as moving AI agents from simply observing enterprise records to completing end-to-end work on a company’s behalf, without requiring a rebuild of existing integrations for each new AI experience.
Key capabilities of Slack Code include automatic workspace lifecycle management, where tagging an AI agent creates a project-based code channel that archives itself on completion while preserving searchable audit logs, and dedicated execution tabs that separate conversation, planning, code diffs and live previews.
