Alibaba Launches QwenWork Workplace AI Agent Globally

Alibaba has launched the international edition of QwenWork, an all-in-one workplace AI agent platform that combines the capabilities of its existing QoderWork, MuleRun and Wukong AI agents into a single productivity tool for individuals and organisations.

Announced out of Singapore, the platform is now available in public beta on web and desktop, with Alibaba targeting fast-growing markets across Asia, the Middle East and Latin America as it extends the agent beyond its home market in China.

One agent for research, documents and multi-step workflows

Users interact with QwenWork through natural-language instructions. The agent interprets the task, determines which capabilities it needs and carries out the necessary steps, while allowing users to follow progress, review intermediate results and refine outputs through follow-up instructions.

  • AI-powered task execution for research, analysis, document preparation and multi-step workflows
  • An opt-in “Awareness” feature on desktop that retains user preferences and context across sessions
  • Web application development from natural-language instructions, without coding or server deployment
  • Multimodal content generation spanning text, images, video and audio in one workspace
  • Connectors for workplace integrations, plus scheduled tasks for recurring automation

Successful workflows can be saved as reusable Skills that evolve with how a user works, reducing the need to re-brief the agent for repeat tasks. The Awareness feature can be switched off at any time.

Subscription tiers and regional rollout

QwenWork is available under a subscription model with Basic and Advanced tiers, letting users choose the level of AI capability suited to their task, from everyday content work through to complex reasoning and long-running professional workflows.

The international edition is “designed for individual professionals and organisations,” with Alibaba targeting fast-growing markets across Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, according to the announcement.

The platform currently supports English and Simplified Chinese interfaces, with Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and additional languages set to roll out later.

Alibaba said the goal is “to reduce the need for users to switch between multiple tools,” combining productivity and content tools in one workspace.

The move extends the reach of Alibaba’s agentic AI ambitions beyond China, positioning QwenWork against a growing field of enterprise workplace AI agents competing for adoption across Southeast Asia and other high-growth regions.
