Huawei has announced the availability of the HUAWEI MatePad Air in Singapore, a 12-inch tablet built around a slim, lightweight design and an upgraded OLED PaperMatte display. The device will retail at S$1,198, with pre-orders opening from 2 to 8 September at Huawei Experience Stores and online via Huawei’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
Positioned for young creators, students and mobile professionals, the tablet pairs an inverted OLED screen layout with a metal body finished in a pearlescent e-coating, available in Airy Blue.
2.8K display and 144Hz refresh rate
The MatePad Air PaperMatte Edition features a 12-inch OLED display with 2.8K resolution, a 144Hz maximum refresh rate, up to 1,200 nits peak brightness and P3 cinema-grade colour gamut. Huawei said high-precision nano-level etching technology minimises the sparkle effect commonly associated with matte displays while preserving a paper-like writing feel.
The tablet is powered by a 10,100mAh battery rated for up to 16 hours of local HDR video playback, with 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo able to recharge it to 42 percent in 30 minutes. A six-speaker crossover system with a quad-driver bass unit rounds out the audio setup.

Productivity ecosystem and launch offers
The device is designed to work with the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro and Smart Magnetic Keyboard, alongside apps including HUAWEI Notes, GoPaint and WPS Office for note-taking, digital drawing, document editing and PDF management.
