HP has launched HP Print AI in Singapore, an AI-enabled feature set designed to fix a common frustration in home and office printing: pages that don’t come out the way people expect.
HP said more than half of all print jobs in homes and offices today originate from the web, including articles, travel information, recipes and how-to guides, and often require manual reformatting, ad removal and reprinting before they come out right.
Precise Print targets web-printing frustration
The centrepiece feature, Precise Print, automatically cleans up unwanted ads, awkward spacing and poor image sizing before a document prints, aiming to reduce the trial-and-error cycle of reprints. HP Print AI also uses natural language and contextual awareness to remember a user’s preferences and past questions, tailoring setup and support accordingly.
“Printing has always been part of how people work, learn and create but the way we find and use information has changed. HP Print AI helps solve those everyday frustrations now, while giving customers a printer that is ready for what comes next,” said Paul Gracey, Vice President and Head of Greater Asia Print Category, HP Inc.
Commercial scan tool cuts labour costs by 80%
For commercial customers, HP has expanded availability of HP Scan AI Enhanced, a cloud-based tool that automatically recognises document types and extracts key information for specific business workflows. HP cited a major retail group with 300 locations in Italy that saw an 80 per cent reduction in labour costs after adopting the tool for delivery and inventory processes.
- Available now on compatible HP DeskJet, Envy, OfficeJet Pro, Smart Tank and LaserJet printers
- Requires Windows 11
- HP Scan AI Enhanced expanded for commercial and enterprise customers
The Singapore launch is part of HP’s broader push to position AI-enabled features as a standard consideration for customers buying a new printer, rather than an add-on for traditional print workflows.
