ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) has been selected by Singapore’s Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to develop 50MW of new data centre capacity under the second Data Centre Call for Application (DC-CFA2).

The facility is designed to support advanced computing and AI workloads, reinforcing Singapore’s push to remain a trusted, resilient hub for AI and digital infrastructure amid tight land and energy constraints.

Built for Green Mark Platinum certification

The development will incorporate liquid cooling and energy-efficient IT equipment, with the facility intended to meet Green Mark for Data Centres Platinum certification requirements. More than half of the site’s power is slated to come through eligible green energy pathways.

Part of a broader ecosystem push

The DC-CFA2 award builds on STT GDC’s existing investments in Singapore’s digital infrastructure, including its FutureGrid Accelerator, an HVDC-powered AI infrastructure testbed, and partnerships supporting AI adoption, research and workforce development.

STT GDC currently operates across Singapore, the UK, Germany, India, Italy, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam. Development of the new facility will proceed in line with applicable approval and implementation processes.
