LG Launches Compact Ducted HVAC Unit For Asia Market

LG Electronics Singapore has launched its new mid static ducted unit, an HVAC solution the company says delivers “Comfort Anywhere” for residential and light commercial spaces with limited ceiling clearance.

The unit combines a compact height of 245mm and depth of 692mm with a capacity range of 5 to 54 kBtu/h, allowing installation in narrow ceiling spaces across a wide variety of room sizes. Rear and bottom air intake options add placement flexibility, while an Auto External Static Pressure control automatically adjusts fan speed based on duct length and layout.

Quiet operation, smart control

LG’s hybrid sirocco fan combines sirocco and turbo fan designs to deliver strong airflow while minimising noise, with the unit operating at a minimum noise level of approximately 20.5 dB(A) — quieter than a typical library. The unit also offers smart control through the LG ThinQ app, letting users remotely manage power, temperature and scheduling from their mobile devices.

  • Powerful, stable airflow at up to 150 Pa of external static pressure
  • Built-in DC drain pump and corrugated fin heat exchanger for improved hygiene
  • Safe Plus Insulation with antimicrobial protection to help prevent mould growth
  • High-efficiency BLDC motor designed for long-term durability

Rolling out across Asia, Middle East and Europe

The mid static ducted unit will be available from August 2026 across markets in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe, expanding LG’s broader HVAC portfolio as the company continues to push climate-control products suited to space-constrained residential and commercial buildings common across the region.
