ShopBack has deepened its partnership with Visa, extending its rewards and cashback ecosystem into physical checkouts in Singapore for the first time, in a move the shopping and payments platform says will strengthen its position as the country tightens rules around digital payments infrastructure.
The expansion builds on an existing collaboration that already offers card-linked offers to online shoppers through the Visa Offers Platform. Consumers can now also earn rewards when paying with Visa cards in-store through ShopBack Pay, which the company says now spans more than 20,000 physical outlets in Singapore and recorded over 16 million in-store transactions in 2025.
Building on a Major Payment Institution licence
The deepened partnership follows ShopBack’s recent Major Payment Institution licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), positioning the company to expand further into the country’s digital payments infrastructure. ShopBack said the partnership spans key categories including food and beverage, travel and marketplaces, and now extends into Hong Kong as part of a wider regional rollout.

“Deepening our partnership with Visa marks an important step in how ShopBack is strengthening its payments ecosystem in Singapore. Together, we are making it easier for merchants to connect with consumers across online and in-store moments,” said Julian Foo, General Manager of Financial Services, ShopBack.
What it means for merchants and consumers
For merchants, ShopBack said the expanded partnership offers greater visibility into high-intent shoppers and stronger opportunities to drive repeat spend across both digital and physical touchpoints. For consumers, it adds more ways to earn cashback across participating brands, whether shopping online or paying in person.
“Visa is proud to be a key partner in ShopBack’s growing payments ecosystem in Singapore. By combining Visa’s trusted payment network with ShopBack’s platform, we are helping create a more connected and rewarding experience across online and in-store journeys,” said Adeline Kim, Group Country Manager, Regional Southeast Asia & SVP, Global Clients & Acquirers, Visa Asia Pacific.
ShopBack, which serves over 20 million active members across 13 markets, expanded into North America in 2025 and now powers over US$5.5 billion in annual sales for more than 20,000 online and in-store partners globally.
