Razer has unveiled the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz line, a new Hall Effect (HE) magnetic addition to its esports keyboard portfolio. Available in Tenkeyless and Mini 65% form factors, the lineup combines Razer’s Hall Effect Magnetic Switches with true 8000 Hz HyperPolling and a suite of advanced input controls aimed at delivering cleaner and more consistent commands for competitive players.

0.60ms latency and adjustable actuation

At the core of the lineup are Razer’s Hall Effect Magnetic Switches, which allow actuation to be adjusted from 0.1mm to 4.0mm, letting players tune each key for either ultra-fast competitive response or more deliberate everyday typing. A Rapid Trigger Mode resets keys dynamically based on movement rather than a fixed point, and the switches are rated for a 100-million keystroke lifespan.

Paired with true 8000 Hz HyperPolling, Razer says the HE Magnetic switches achieve a 0.60ms average latency in internal testing with all keyboards set to 0.1mm actuation and 8000 Hz polling – an 8% advantage over the nearest competing HE magnetic keyboard tested, based on 20 measurements from switch actuation to signal received at the host device’s USB port.

New input controls for competitive play

The line introduces four new input technologies. Snap Flex assigns separate actions to a single key’s press and release, letting players chain timing-critical actions from one input. Dynamic Keystroke maps up to four actions to a single key based on actuation depth, enabling layered combos from a single keypress. Instant Cancel Control lets players cancel an unwanted follow-up action mid-sequence, while Dual-Keypress Priority protects intended movement inputs from being disrupted by accidental keypresses during fast-paced play.

The keyboards also support Synapse Web, a browser-based configuration option that lets players adjust settings and save onboard profiles without installing software – useful for shared setups, LANs and tournament environments.
