LG Electronics has reported consolidated revenue of USD $15.80 billion and operating profit of USD $1.05 billion for the second quarter of 2026, both the highest second-quarter figures in the company’s history. Revenue rose 14.9% year-on-year, while operating profit surged 147%, driven by stronger sales of premium products, improved cost competitiveness and a one-time gain from tariff refunds on prior US export duties.
AI data centre cooling among new growth areas
Alongside its core appliance, entertainment and vehicle solutions businesses, LG pointed to accelerated growth in robotics and AI data centre (AIDC) cooling solutions as emerging contributors. The subscription business, covering ongoing product and service revenue, grew 5% year-on-year to USD $437.72 million as it continued its international expansion.
Second-quarter B2B revenue reached USD $4.31 billion, up 5% year-on-year and accounting for 36% of total company revenue, excluding LG Innotek.
