Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd has launched the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 in Singapore, positioning the new smartwatches as AI-powered health companions capable of turning continuous biometric data into daily, actionable guidance.
Pre-orders opened on 22 July 2026 at 9pm Singapore time across Samsung’s online and retail channels, with devices available for purchase from 14 August 2026 at local telecommunications operators and major electronics retailers.
AI-driven health intelligence at the core
Both watches run on the new Snapdragon Wear Elite platform and lean heavily on Samsung’s AI-powered health intelligence, built on the BioActive sensor that continuously reads a user’s vital signs. New capabilities across both models include an FDA-cleared Sleep Apnea detection feature, a Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load tracking and a Vitals function that flags deviations from a user’s personal baseline while they sleep.
‘Samsung is committed to helping people live better. We want to make the shift from reactive treatment to proactive care as seamless as possible,’ said TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer, President and Head of the Device eXperience Division at Samsung Electronics.
Singapore relevance in the sports and lifestyle push
Locally, Samsung is framing the launch around Singapore’s growing appetite for fitness tracking. Ronnie Ng, Vice President and Head of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics Singapore, said the new smartwatches can help users track performance across sporting activities of varying intensity, ‘which is especially pertinent as we’re seeing more Singaporeans adopting active lifestyles.’
He added that deeper integration between the Galaxy smartphone and smartwatch line-up allows the devices to ‘understand context and deliver experiences that adapt to your day.’

Ultra2 built for extremes, Watch9 for everyday wear
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is aimed at outdoor and endurance users, with a 47mm titanium casing, an 800mAh battery (a 35 per cent capacity increase over the previous Ultra), and a display reaching 5,000 nits of brightness – a claimed first for Samsung. It supports professional diving up to 100 metres, with real-time depth and temperature tracking developed in partnership with Mares, exclusive to the Ultra2 for two years. The advanced diving app itself is expected to be available later this year.
The Galaxy Watch9, available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, is pitched as an everyday wellness device with a lighter aluminium casing and up to 3,000 nits of display brightness.
