Aston Martin Debuts Digital-Only SUV for Call of Duty

Aston Martin has unveiled Dreadnought, a digital-only military specification vehicle designed exclusively for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, created in collaboration with the game’s developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision. The vehicle exists only inside the game, giving Aston Martin’s design team freedom to combine the brand’s luxury design language with a tactical, armour-plated SUV built for the game’s DMZ and Warzone modes.

Dreadnought pairs supercar-level performance with fictional combat features such as adaptive combat zone intelligence systems and military-grade armour plating, while retaining recognisably Aston Martin design cues: herringbone-weave carbon fibre, Oxford Tan leather detailing, a metallic gold gear lever and the marque’s Chiltern Green paint.

A gaming play for a younger audience

“Our brand diversification strategy is built on exploring new dimensions of luxury, and expanding Aston Martin’s footprint into the gaming world allows us to engage with a new generation on their own terms. The Dreadnought isn’t just a digital vehicle; it’s a strategic gateway for a younger, global audience to experience our ultra-luxury DNA,” said Stefano Saporetti, Director of Brand Diversification, Aston Martin.

Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, said the design team treated Dreadnought as though it were a real vehicle navigating everything from New York streets to monsoon-soaked roads in Mumbai, aiming for authenticity even within a fictional environment. Infinity Ward Co-Studio Head Jack O’Hara said the collaboration carried the vehicle’s physics, animation and propulsion through to launch with an armoured exterior and an aggressive all-wheel-drive system.

Following gaming’s growing pull on luxury brands

Dreadnought makes its public debut at Fanatics Fest in New York, where a full-size model will be displayed on the Call of Duty stand, ahead of Modern Warfare 4’s global launch on 23 October 2026 across Xbox, PlayStation 5 and PC. The tie-up adds Aston Martin to a growing list of luxury and automotive brands treating in-game placements as a legitimate marketing channel rather than a novelty, betting that virtual exposure to younger, global gaming audiences can translate into real-world brand affinity down the line.
