Databricks has appointed Raymond Wong as Enterprise and Public Sector Lead for Singapore, reinforcing the data and AI company’s commitment to supporting government agencies as they scale AI adoption.
The appointment comes as Singapore advances its National AI Strategy, refreshing 2026 priorities to harness AI for the public good. Databricks already works with public sector customers in Singapore including the Central Provident Fund Board, GovTech, Singapore Customs, and Synapxe, the national healthtech agency.
25 years of enterprise technology leadership
Wong brings close to 25 years of enterprise technology experience to the role. He joins Databricks from ServiceNow, where he served as Country Manager for Singapore, and previously spent nearly two decades at IBM in senior leadership roles, including General Manager of IBM Software Singapore.
“Singapore’s public sector is at a pivotal moment, moving decisively from AI experimentation to AI-powered public service at scale. Government agencies are under pressure to modernise faster, govern more rigorously, and deliver more personalised citizen services. Raymond’s enterprise technology leadership combined with Databricks’ data and AI platform will help agencies build the trusted, unified data foundations they need to turn AI ambition into real impact,” said Cecily Ng, Vice President and General Manager for ASEAN and Greater China at Databricks.
From automation to reimagined public service
Wong said the opportunity extends beyond automating administrative tasks towards reimagining how agencies deliver services, from more personalised support for residents to faster, evidence-led policy decisions.
“The opportunity ahead is not just automating administrative tasks, it is reimagining how agencies deliver services, from more personalised support for residents to faster, evidence-led policy decisions that improve national wellbeing. I look forward to working closely with the agencies, partners and the wider Singapore ecosystem to unify their data and AI estates, build AI skills and make insights more accessible through natural language,” said Raymond Wong, Enterprise and Public Sector Lead for Databricks Singapore.
The appointment underscores growing competition among enterprise data and AI vendors for public sector accounts in Singapore, as government agencies look to translate national AI strategy into deployed citizen-facing services.
