M1 Maxx has upgraded its flagship $12/month SIM-only plan from 500GB to 600GB, and become the first SIM-only plan in Singapore to include China within its local data allocation, alongside Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, India and Bangladesh.
The 600GB allocation now covers all eight markets with no separate roaming add-on required, while international roaming beyond those markets extends to more than 100 countries. The plan also includes 7GB of international roaming data, 20GB of APAC roaming data, unlimited voice roaming, and 600 IDD minutes.
Timed to travel demand
M1 cited YouGov’s Singapore International Traveller Outlook 2026, which found China recorded the largest year-on-year jump in travel consideration among Singaporeans this year, rising 6.6%. Voice roaming in China is enabled via VoLTE through partnerships with China Mobile and China Telecom, removing IDD charges for calls made there.
“Maxx delivers a standout level of seamless connectivity in Singapore, with China and other popular destinations included within a generous local data allocation,” said Mustafa Kapasi, Chief Operating Officer, M1.
Limited window
The enhanced $12/month plan is available from 7 July to 3 August 2026, through maxxonline.sg or Maxx retailers islandwide, with no long-term contract required.
