Zoom Launches ZoomMate AI Teammate and Productivity Suite for SEA Workplaces

Zoom has announced two new AI products designed to reduce the gap between meetings and execution: ZoomMate, an AI teammate, and a new AI Productivity Suite — launches timed to market research showing that nearly 90 per cent of organisations across Southeast Asia plan to experiment with AI agents in 2026.

ZoomMate: from conversation to completion

ZoomMate is positioned as an enterprise AI teammate that connects three capabilities: Agentic Search, which links enterprise knowledge bases to live conversations; AI content creation, which converts meeting context into finished work products; and workflow execution, which coordinates follow-through across teams, applications, and systems. The product is designed for organisations that want AI to drive action rather than merely generate outputs.

AI Productivity Suite ties deliverables to decisions

Zoom’s new AI Productivity Suite bundles four tools — Zoom Canvas, Zoom Slides, Zoom Sheets, and Zoom Paper — with a shared context layer that draws on meeting history and collaboration data. The stated aim is to ensure that documents and presentations remain connected to the decisions that shaped them, rather than being created in isolation from the collaboration that precedes them.

Together, these announcements reflect Zoom’s broader vision of becoming a System of Action for modern work, helping organisations move beyond AI-generated outputs towards AI-enabled execution.

The launches come as McKinsey research cited by Zoom found that the highest-performing AI adopters in Southeast Asia are twice as likely to redesign workflows around AI rather than simply layer it onto existing processes — a tension the new products are explicitly aimed at resolving. Zoom has not disclosed pricing or specific regional availability dates.
