Hewlett Packard Enterprise has announced a set of GreenLake innovations spanning private cloud, storage, and data protection, combining fourth-generation private cloud infrastructure with agentic AI management capabilities designed to help enterprises modernise without complex migrations or fragmented tooling.

The core update to HPE Private Cloud adds unified management of virtual machines and Kubernetes containers on a single platform, built on the new HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 for improved performance per watt, workload consolidation, and security. The update also includes integration with HPE Zerto Software for live workload migration from VMware environments with continuous data protection, and new Veeam Data Platform support for agentless backup with native changed block tracking.

Unified Storage for AI Data Pipelines

HPE has expanded its Alletra Storage MP platform on two fronts. The X10000 now includes native file storage alongside existing object storage on a single platform, scaling to 16 nodes and 23 PB raw capacity, with a 100% data availability guarantee. RDMA-enabled file storage on the X10000 is intended to accelerate AI training, inference, and KV cache workloads. The platform also delivers backup ingest performance of up to 2.5 PB per hour using the X10000 Data Protection Accelerator Node.

The B10000 adds real-time agentic support that autonomously detects, analyses, and resolves storage issues, alongside a new 5:1 data reduction guarantee and additional controller node scaling for higher performance and fault tolerance.

AI Management Across the Data Fabric

HPE Data Fabric Software now includes a conversational interface and agentic AI assistant for natural language access to the global namespace, alongside policy-based data placement for hybrid AI workloads. HPE Zerto adds an AI-powered assistant and integration with Microsoft Defender for real-time threat visibility and faster recovery.

“With these innovations, we’re helping organizations adopt a unified operating model that brings together private cloud, data, and protection, simplifies migration from legacy platforms, strengthens resilience, and delivers superior TCO to operate at scale.”
— Fidelma Russo, EVP & GM, Hybrid Cloud & CTO, HPE

Fourth-generation HPE Private Cloud systems are available now. Unified VM and container management will be generally available in Q3 2026. The Alletra X10000 with file storage is targeted for general availability in Q2 2026.
